“Stewardship is about results, not talk.  It’s high time we got serious about what we actually produce though every endeavor we undertake.  We can create life-changing opportunities or we can just run in place and say we are doing something.  Our organization will focus on stewardship ~ it’s required….and it’s expected.” Ken Harbour

INDIGENOUS ~ Native to Culture!

Over 30 years ago, long before it was becoming accepted here in Western organizations, our founders made the discovery by working in the Corporate 100 world that indigenous-national representatives were far more effective with the common country people than someone from the USA.

Taking this principle and key information gathered from a few highly reputable sources, Ken and Diana Harbour began researching and looking for cream-of-the-crop men or women in five Asian countries who had a vision to touch and change lives.   Indigenous workers are a  smart choice because of their resource value.  They are there in the territory already.  Having grown up in the area, it’s their home and there’s no reason to think about sending someone from the West, whether it’s a highly trained person or a well-intentioned novice.

Indigenous workers are cost-effective.  As compared to the $6000 – $8000 per month it costs to field someone from the USA and send them, an indigenous-national worker can be productive in the villages or sprawling cities and slums for anywhere from $45 – $150 per month.    Indigenous workers know the language and culture.  It will often take Western charity workers or mission personnel 5 -6 years to become adjusted to the most basic language skills.  In the meantime, all the funds for that person are spent on preparation.  However, from day one, an indigenous worker is already intimately acquainted with the culture and the language nuances.

Our partnerships have made our projects some of the most successful you could imagine.   Indigenous workers don’t have the “Identification Problem.”  Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and other Asian and South Asian countries have had their fill of the Colonial fathers from the past.  Western oppression is ingrained in the culture and those with white-skin have problems throwing off the stigma of the past.  Anyone who reads the news can understand the anti-American sentiments that are in the air.  Finally, indigenous workers are able to live and inculcate on the same economic levels as those they serve.  It is difficult for someone from the West to follow that example.  And without question, the life of Jesus was an INCARNATIONAL life.

Native workers are already present.

Native workers already know the culture.

Native workers already understand
 the language.

Partnership is 100% smart

JUST IMAGINE ~ For as little as $45 a month, you, your family, your business, your church, or Bible study group could totally support an indigenous native worker who is focused on the same priorities as you are.  Our organization is well known in the difficult areas we work in, and we bring a message of hope to those who despair or who are persecuted.

We provide life-changing knowledge for men, women, and children.  We also seek to enhance their information on nutrition, sanitation, and anti-trafficking education.   Our ministry believes and practices changing lives through acts of kindness, generosity, and justice.  We NEVER discriminate and make sure that everyone benefits from our service.  JOIN US TODAY!

OUR  FOCUS AND STRATEGY: Our goal is to manifest life-changing principles to those at home and in other lands and encourage and promote the proclamation of grace, love, hope and faith among every nation, tribe, and people. To encourage the indigenous groups we serve to embody these principles, form local groups for mutual encouragement, and assist the development of leadership.

This is the simple home of a
village pastor.

If the pastor is fortunate, the family
will have land to cultivate.

Life in our area of the world is hard and a pastor's life is difficult beyond measure.

You and I will probably never be able to stand in a remote place like this Brother in the picture.  Doesn’t it make sense to help someone who can actually sit and talk with an old gentleman like this and seek to bring empowerment and opportunity to his village?
